Notices for usage and management of compensation facilities of Central District Waste Management Plant of the Environmental Protection Bureau, Kaohsiung City :
- The notices were prescribed in accordance with Article 9 of the Self-Government Ordinances for Usage and Management of Compensation Facilities of Waste Management Plants of the Environmental Protection Bureau, Kaohsiung City (hereinafter referred to the Ordinances for short).
- The opening hours of the compensation facilities of Central District Waste Management Plant of the Environmental Protection Bureau, Kaohsiung City (hereinafter referred to the Facilities for short) are 9 a .m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday, closed on every Monday and national holidays. The notice is not applicable if each facility has separate regulations or to those who have gained special approval or been announced by the plant.
- Those who are eligible to have free access to the Facilities according to Article 4 of the Ordinances shall present identification proof (such as ID card, household certificate, or employee ID card) before using the facilities for free. However, the natatorium will collect insurance fees.
Groups shall file an application for using the facilities to the plant ten days before the activity begins. After obtaining approval, groups shall submit relevant fees and documents stipulated by the regulations three days before the activity begins. The above deposits paid for application for use will be refunded without interest after use and everything returned to the original state.
- The public, agencies, and groups located outside the compensation area of the plant shall be charged according to the charging standard of the Ordinances while applying for using various facilities. If there are any special regulations, the regulations will be applied.
- To maintain the quality of the Facilities, the plant may control the number of persons having access to each facility according to actual needs. Each facility will not be opened to the public if an activity is being held in the facility.
- For those who apply for using table tennis tables and billiard tables, certificates are required when borrowing equipment and accessories for management purposes (certificates will be given back after borrowed items have been returned). Equipment and accessories can be borrowed for an hour at most,which may be renewed if nobody is on the waiting list. Users shall wear sportswear and gymnastic shoes while using the gymnastic room.
- All the items in the Facilities rely on everyone’s cooperation in maintenance and cherishing during use. Items shall be returned (to the original places) after use, and must not be carried outside the Facilities. In case of any damage, users shall be responsible to repair damaged items or compensate for the damage at the actual price. Deposits or certificates will be returned after the repair or compensation.
- Notices for using the natatorium are as follows:
- Opening hours:
- Those who have epilepsy, heart diseases, skin diseases, contagious diseases, mental disorder, or drinking problems are forbidden to enter the natatorium.
- Please change into swimming suits and pants and put on swim caps before entering the pools. Put the shoes into the shoe shelf and rinse your feet before entering the pools. Please take care of your personnel belongings and assume the responsibility yourself if your belongings are lost.
- Children cannot enter the pools unless they are accompanied by adults.
- Joking around, fighting, smoking, spitting, chewing betel nuts, or any behavior that may worsen public health or threaten public safety are forbidden in the natatorium.
- Please warm up before swimming. If you feel any discomfort during swimming, please exit the pool immediately or ask a lifeguard for help.
- For any emergency, please follow the management personnel's orders or exit the pools evacuate immediately.
Users shall exit the pools at the end of each session, and must not linger for any excuse.
Natatorium
The natatorium that serves as a compensation facility officially started its operation on April 21, 2002 . Facilities such as large heated swimming pools, children's pool, spa pools, steam rooms, saunas for men and women, and a gym are available.

- Compensation areas: Kaohsiung City : all the villages in Sanmin District, a total of 87 villages; Zuoying District: Sinshang Village , Caigong Village , and Fushan Village .
- Kaohsiung County: Niaosong Township: Dahua Village, Niaosong Village, Mengli Village; Renwu Township: Dawan Village, Bagua Village, Wuhe Village, Chihshan Village, Gaonan Village.
- A total of 99 villages are included.
- Only a 2-NT dollar insurance fee will be collected for admission, but ID card or household certificate (for minors) are required for ticket inspectors' examination.
Description
- It is closed every Monday; if Monday happens to be a national holiday, the natatorium will be closed on the following day.
- 200 persons at most are allowed to use the facility at a time.
- The venue is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays and during summer and winter vacations.

Arts and Culture Workshops
The compensation facilities for the neighboring residents include lounge, reading room, recreation room, arts and culture studio, senior's activity center, outdoor concert stage, aerobics room, and exhibition room, where arts and culture workshops are conducted, such as table tennis, kickboxing, calligraphy, women’s aerobics, paintings for children, ikebana art, and so on.
Arts and culture activities:
Arts and culture workshops are planned to provide the public with free learning resources and promote appreciation of arts and culture. The workshops include: aerobics, painting, calligraphy, table tennis, kickboxing and self-defense techniques, etc.
